Estepona is a town and is part of the wider area known as the Costa del Sol in Southern Spain. It is located in the province of Malaga. It has an area of 137 square kilometres and has the Sierra Bermeja mountain range as a backdrop.

Estepona is renowned for its beaches, which stretch along some 21 km of coastline. It is a popular resort and holiday destination.

Estepona is about 80 km or one hour from Malaga airport and 45 km or forty minutes from Gibraltar Airport. It is served by the A7 motor road and has a coastal or toll road, the AP-7. It is about twenty minutes west of Marbella and fifteen minutes to Sotogrande.

Estepona has a beautiful natural setting. Palm trees line the waterfront, a marina and the Old Town with quaint narrow streets. How much does a property cost in Estepona?

There is no doubt that Estepona is booming, and prices are rising and will continue to do so. One only has to look at the massive billboards advertising new developments on the landscape.

However, Estepona has more competitively priced new properties generally. International buyers can expect a budget of around 300.000 euros for a two-bedroom new development in Estepona.

New development South Bay Las Mesas, an urban living apartment complex, is starting from 302.000 euros. Ayana is a new project launched in 2021.
